Audrey passed her permit test and started her driving lessons this past weekend. The instructor said she is very calm. She may be calm, but I sure am not!
She drove me to church yesterday. My back and neck ached from the tension when I got there!
“Can I drive home from church, mom?”
“Over my dead body!”
“That can be arranged.”
I am sure it can be easily arranged. Just let her try to make a left turn at a busy intersection and I will keel over with a heart attack.
How did I ever manage to get my driver’s license? In those days, there were no restrictions after you get your license at 16. But in those days, drivers were much more courteous, the term “road rage” did not exist, and cars had more steel.
Kids keep you on your knees, through every stage of growth.
