Today is Elliot‘s birthday, same day as Martin Luther King’s.
A small incident today woke me up to the realization that Elliot is a man, no longer a boy.
We went to visit my friends to see their bunny (why we wanted to see their bunny is another story.)
When I introduced Elliot, Audrey, and Amy to the husband, he stuck out his hand to shake Elliot’s hand.
Elliot was treated like an adult, not a child that you pat on the head.
I enjoyed taking care of him and watching him grow as a child. I no longer take care of him like I used to. But I continue to enjoy watching him grow; I am proud of him as my grown son.
Happy Birthday, Elliot!

Today, we went to pick up 6-week old Smoky, our new pet. He/she (too young to determine the sex) is meant to be ours. (Technically she is Amy’s bunny.) […]
