Stuff That Matters In Life

This is the third time I am reading Anne of Green Gables. Right now I am reading it aloud to Amy each night at bedtime.

I love this story of the red-headed orphan because it’s a story of victory over adverse circumstances. It’s a story of how ordinary folks can make a difference in one another’s live. There’s no suspense, no blood and gore, no superheros in this book. But the characters are delightful, and there is something to be learned from each one of them.

I read all the sequels in the Anne of Avonlea series. I enjoyed everyone. This first one is my favorite.
