I picked up this book randomly at the library. I needed some encouragement and some perspective – as Ego says in Ratatouille
The Joy of Failure by Wayne Root is light enjoyable reading. He tells lots of illustrative stories, emphasizes good values of putting God and family first, and gives encouragement to never give up. I’ve never heard of Wayne Root. The bio says he’s a sports analyst. The book is pretty much the same stuff you hear from motivational speakers, but it’s still good to read something like this once in a while, to pick you up when you feel you’ve blown it.
It gives you perspective.
