As I lay down for bed, it struck me that I have not been praying for my children regularly.
When they were younger, I prayed for them a lot – for their future, that they do not get into drugs, that they know God, that they get good grades, and that they turn out well. That sort of thing.
Now that they are older, I feel less urgency. I pray for them when there is a particular issue, and at times when I think of something.
Lying in bed, I envisioned my son in college, doing his usual things. Is there someone who is praying for him everyday? I am sure his fellowship group, people at church, and his friends probably pray for him occasionally, but combining all of them together, is his every day covered with prayer?
If the children’s mother does not pray for her chldren every day, who would?
If I want my son to do great things in the world, to grow in his relationship with God, and to have an influence on those around him, how can he possibly live such high ideals? Isn’t the only way to live a powerful life is if God is at work in his life? And isn’t that going to happen when a whole bunch of prayer goes up to God for him?
So I am determined to pray for my children and husband every day.
I want someone to pray for me every day.
If you know for a fact that no one is praying for you everyday, leave a comment and I will pray for you everyday for the next 30 days.
If you want to pray for me every day for the next 30 days, let me know. I would appreciate it.

Hi Katy, You hit the nail on the head. I use to pray for Vanessa every day, when she was growing up. Now that she’s married, i pray for her when she’s in the middle of a trial. Your right, she needs prayer every day, and so do you. For the next 30 days I’ll pray for you.
