{"id":1248,"date":"2010-07-18T17:53:49","date_gmt":"2010-07-19T01:53:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.katylee.com\/blog\/?p=1248"},"modified":"2010-07-19T20:25:22","modified_gmt":"2010-07-20T04:25:22","slug":"psalm-121","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/katylee.com\/blog\/2010\/07\/18\/psalm-121\/","title":{"rendered":"Psalm 121"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I love Psalm 121.<\/p>\n<p>When I first learned to drive, in the pre-GPS, pre-Thomas Guide days (all we had were those maps from AAA, you\u00c2\u00a0 know, the ones that are impossible to refold), I was taught that if I am lost, look for the mountains &#8211; the mountains are north. We lived against the foothills in Pasadena, so if I just head towards the mountains, I will eventually see something familiar near home.<\/p>\n<p>Whenever I see mountains anywhere, I think of Psalm 121.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><sup id=\"en-NIV-16083\">1<\/sup> I lift up my eyes to  the hills\u00e2\u20ac\u201d<br \/>\nwhere does my help come from?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><sup id=\"en-NIV-16084\">2<\/sup> My help comes from the LORD,<br \/>\nthe Maker of heaven and earth.<\/p>\n<p>Psalm 121 is a picture of a personal God. He is not only the awesome Creator,<\/p>\n<p>but also one who reaches down to where where we live &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The LORD will\u00c2\u00a0guard your going out and your  coming in&#8221;;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230; where we walk &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He will not allow your foot to slip&#8221;;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230; where we work in the day &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The sun will not smite you by  day&#8221;;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;where we sleep &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Nor the moon by night&#8221;;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;where we struggle &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The LORD will protect you from all evil&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>He is faithful and committed to us &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;From this time forth and forever.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Whenever I look at the mountains, I think of God&#8217;s love for me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love Psalm 121.
