{"id":2200,"date":"2013-07-24T16:31:43","date_gmt":"2013-07-25T00:31:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.katylee.com\/blog\/?p=2200"},"modified":"2013-07-24T16:31:43","modified_gmt":"2013-07-25T00:31:43","slug":"day-11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/katylee.com\/blog\/2013\/07\/24\/day-11\/","title":{"rendered":"Day 11"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>July 6, 2013 Saturday &#8211; Zion National Park<\/p>\n<p>Walked along a couple of hiking trails while our more fit friends did <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zionnational-park.com\/zion-angels-landing-trail.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Angel&#8217;s Landing<\/a>. I&#8217;m content to enjoy the beautiful sceneries with a nice stroll and a relaxing lunch at the\u00a0Zion Lodge Red Rock Grill.<\/p>\n<p>We ended our Zion visit with the 6:30pm tour on bus with Jess the Ranger. Two memorable sights:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">Spotted rock climbers on a &#8220;<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\" href=\"http:\/\/www.metoliusclimbing.com\/portaledges.html\" target=\"_blank\">portaledge<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">&#8221; &#8211; yes, they are crazy to spend the night hanging on the face of the mountain. If I knew how to estimate distance, I&#8217;d tell you how high they were. But I can only tell you that they were just a dot REALLY high up there. We actually saw them waving a little arm hanging out of their portaledge. Please don&#8217;t fall!\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">Saw a family of deer &#8211; mama, daddy and baby. Then we saw a lone deer in the parking lot. They are really thin with ribs showing through. The Ranger told us there is an overpopulation of deer and not enough prey.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It was almost 9pm by the time the tour ended. Yelp took us to the\u00a0Flying Monkey in Springdale for pizza. 4 stars.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 19px\">Tomorrow is our last day of our trip.
