{"id":3032,"date":"2019-07-21T21:06:20","date_gmt":"2019-07-22T05:06:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.katylee.com\/blog\/?p=3032"},"modified":"2019-07-21T21:06:20","modified_gmt":"2019-07-22T05:06:20","slug":"voice-and-sin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/katylee.com\/blog\/2019\/07\/21\/voice-and-sin\/","title":{"rendered":"Voice and sin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I can&#8217;t talk loud over the kids anymore.<\/p>\n<p>Since I&#8217;ve been having <a href=\"https:\/\/katylee.com\/blog\/2017\/04\/20\/lpr-laryngopharyngeal-reflux-disease\/\" target=\"_blank\">LPR<\/a>, my voice has been weak. The symptom of my greatest concern about having LPR is a burning sensation in my throat. It affects my vocal cords and potentially damage them permanently.<\/p>\n<p>Today, the kids were loud, which I&#8217;m ok with. Of course kids are loud.<\/p>\n<p>But I can&#8217;t yell loud enough to get their attention. Now my throat hurts from trying.<\/p>\n<p>I also realized my sin of trying to solve the noise issue my way by talking louder. Instead of shooting up &#8220;arrow prayers&#8221;, I use my own solutions. I&#8217;m sure God could&#8217;ve quieted the kids if I asked Him.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, I&#8217;ve not been looking to God in my times of need. In big things, yes. But I live the &#8220;regular&#8221; course of life pretty much dependent on myself.<\/p>\n<p>I thank God for revealing this to me today. I am asking God to help me to grow in this way.
