{"id":391,"date":"2007-01-16T00:39:20","date_gmt":"2007-01-16T08:39:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.katylee.com\/blog\/2007\/01\/16\/elliot-turns-19\/"},"modified":"2007-02-21T02:10:10","modified_gmt":"2007-02-21T10:10:10","slug":"elliot-turns-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/katylee.com\/blog\/2007\/01\/16\/elliot-turns-19\/","title":{"rendered":"Elliot turns 19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today is <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.intelliot.com\/blog\">Elliot<\/a>&#8216;s birthday, same day as Martin Luther King&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>A small incident today woke me up to the realization that Elliot is a man, no longer a boy.<\/p>\n<p>We went to visit my friends to see their bunny (why we wanted to see their bunny is another story.)<\/p>\n<p>When I introduced Elliot, Audrey, and Amy to the husband, he stuck out his hand to shake Elliot&#8217;s hand.<\/p>\n<p>Elliot was treated like an adult, not a child that you pat on the head.<\/p>\n<p>I enjoyed taking care of him and watching him grow as a child. I no longer take care of him like I used to.
