{"id":462,"date":"2007-04-04T16:49:26","date_gmt":"2007-04-05T00:49:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.katylee.com\/blog\/2007\/04\/04\/perspective\/"},"modified":"2007-04-04T16:49:26","modified_gmt":"2007-04-05T00:49:26","slug":"perspective","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/katylee.com\/blog\/2007\/04\/04\/perspective\/","title":{"rendered":"Perspective"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Do you remember anything your professor taught in school?<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Bing Hunter said something in his lecture that I have remembered for the last 20+ years.<\/p>\n<p>He held up a blackboard eraser (in the old days, we used blackboard and chalk) and put it directly in front of his eyes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When you have a problem,&#8221; he said, &#8220;The situation is so consuming that it is all you can see. The problem appears so big. You can&#8217;t see anything else but your problem.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Then he held the eraser away from him at arm&#8217;s length.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When you put your problem in view of the big picture of life, you see that it is not such a big problem after all.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When place in the proper perspective, our problems don&#8217;t seem as difficult to overcome.\u00c2\u00a0 In fact, they becomes almost trivial.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s keep our eyes on the eternal, for things of this world will all fade in a twinkling of an eye.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you remember anything your professor taught in school?
