Then, I read the email my daughter sent me. She is a freshman in UCLA. She reported, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Whew!! This quarter has had its ups and downs, but today was definitely an UP day! =)
\nI went to class as usual, \u00e2\u20ac\u00a6.. After that class, I was looking forward to going to gospel choir, but it was cancelled. So I was a little bummed…<\/p>\n
[she then met a friend for lunch]<\/p>\n
…Since gospel choir is usually two hours long, I still had about 30-40 minutes to kill before my next class. So I decided to go fishing (aka evangelizing on campus). I asked people if they wanted to hear the good news of Jesus Christ, and after three or four rejections, I recognized this girl who takes ballroom dancing class with me. She had time and was willing to listen, so I shared the gospel with her. When I asked her if she had any questions, she said no. So asked her if she wanted to accept Jesus Christ into her life, and she said yes!! I was so happy! We went through the prayer and commitment part of the gospel presentation, and she was so cute…her eyes were tearing up.<\/p>\n
And then right after that, I had to go to Chinese class, where I had a midterm! I was so elated from what had just happened, I couldn’t really concentrate on the test, but I didn’t care. After I finished, I sang all the way back to my room.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
If your class is canceled, or an appointment is canceled, or a client didn’t show up, what would you do with your extra hour of time? Would you think of going out to find someone to share the gospel?<\/p>\n
I am ashamed to admit that I would not do what a college freshmen so courageously did.<\/p>\n
I am inspired to seek out opportunities to share the gospel.<\/p>\n
If she can do it, surely we can too.
