When he left Sunday to go back to his apartment, I still feel a wave of sadness.<\/p>\n<p>The hardest part in raising children is not the midnight feedings, or the sacrifice of your career, or paying big money for college.<\/p>\n<p>Looking back on parenthood, those parts are easy compare to what I have to do now &#8211; letting go.<\/p>\n<p>You make an investment into your children with everything you&#8217;ve got, and then you have to let them go.<\/p>\n<p>I am not looking forward to my daughter going to college in the fall.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It gets easier, but it&#8217;s still not easy.
