Right now I am reading it aloud to Amy each night at bedtime.<\/p>\n<p>I love this story of the red-headed orphan because it&#8217;s a story of victory over adverse circumstances. It&#8217;s a story of how ordinary folks can make a difference in one another&#8217;s live. There&#8217;s no suspense, no blood and gore, no superheros in this book. But the characters are delightful, and there is something to be learned from each one of them.<\/p>\n<p>I read all the sequels in the Anne of Avonlea series. I enjoyed everyone.
