The other book I read earlier, <em>The Game<\/em>, made more sense now that I read this one.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Beekeeper&#8217;s Apprentice<\/em> retained much of the characteristics of Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson, and Mrs. Hudson. Of course some &#8220;artistic liberty&#8221; was taken to add to their character for this story. I liked the intrigue and the mystery of the plot.
