I finally got the book from the library that Elliot<\/a> recommended.<\/a> Ender’s Game <\/em>by Orson Scott Card.<\/p>\n

I must say, this author is pretty versatile. This book is very different from the one I read before<\/a>. Overall, I liked both books. I know every scifi lover has read the Ender’s Game series. But since I am not usually a scifi reader, I am probably not going to rate it as high as others may.<\/p>\n

The whole story hinges on the characters and they were very well developed. The main characters are little kids, but I think the author made little attempt to describe them like kids. They acted liked adults in almost every way. I couldn’t form a mental image of them as kids, they are suppose to be as young as 6, 7, 8 or even 10 or 12. I know that is the point, that these little kids are super geniuses. But a mention of their ages occasionally is pretty much all that is said about childlike characteristics.<\/p>\n

I rather predicted the climax, though it was still a little bit of a surprise.<\/p>\n

What I didn’t like is the last part of the book. It sets itself up for a sequel, and a “redemption” element there was kind of cheesy.<\/p>\n

It sure would be nice to be quick and smart, and such a nice guy too, like Ender Wiggins!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
