LOS ANGELES, CA – Campaign finance records reveal that Alice Huffman, President of the California State NAACP, the only major African American leader in California to endorse legalized gay marriage, has received nearly $200,000 from the NO on 8 campaign in “fees” through her company AC Public Affairs.

I finally got the book from the library that Elliot recommended. Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card.

I must say, this author is pretty versatile. This book is very different from the one I read before. Overall, I liked both books. I know every scifi lover has read the Ender’s Game series. But since I am not usually a scifi reader, I am probably not going to rate it as high as others may.

California’s largest teacher’s union has given another $1 million to defeat a Nov. 4 ballot initiative that would ban same-sex marriage in the state.

The contribution recorded Tuesday makes the California Teachers Association the largest institutional donor to the No on 8 campaign. CTA also gave $250,000 in August to Equality for All, a coalition of gay advocacy and civil rights groups opposing Proposition 8.
