Rainy days

Amy says she loves the rain. I don’t. But I am thankful for a roof over my head. Last night, due to the sound of the rain and wind, I kept waking up. The thought that came to my mind in the middle of the night was, “God, help the homeless, that they find shelter tonight. Help the rescue centers that the workers will have strength and compassion to care for the needy.” Take nothing for granted.

“Keep your mouth shut and people will think you a fool. Open your mouth and remove all doubt!”

“Let your conversations be always full of greace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” Colossians 4:6

“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock, and my Redeemer.” Psalm 19:14

Life

Amy asks, “Mom, what do you like best about your life?”
My answer: Freedom. Freedom to worship God publicly; freedom to have any number of children I want; freedom to work anywhere I want; freedom to learn anything I want; freedom from the guilt and shame of sin; freedom to act against my sinful nature; freedom to go directly to God’s presence without a human intermediary.”
