I don’t normally go to mission conferences because I always respond to any appeal for help.
I know if I hear of a need, I’d want to volunteer to help. So before I went to the OMF conference, I made myself promise not to sign up for anything.

My sister took me to Alicia’s for lunch today. Alicia’s is a quaint cafe with hefty signature sandwiches, fresh baked goods (muffins, cookies, cakes), and a friendly atmosphere run by the owner, Alicia, and her 3 daughters.
I want to own a place like Alicia’s.
I know it’s hard work – Alicia said she works 90 hours a week.
A discussion came up – why doesn’t God answer seemingly “good and reasonable” prayers like healing a child of cancer? Isn’t it weird why God doesn’t answer some prayers and answer others?
Elliot: It would be more weird if God answered all our prayers.

I am glad I got to spend a little time with my dad today.
I don’t often make the effort to drive the 45 minutes to see him. Since he needed someone to take him to a doctor’s appointment today, I was glad to have the opportunity.
He bought me dim sum for lunch with plenty to take home too :)
Why are people surprised when they find out I did not vote for Obama.
Almost 60 million others did not vote for him.
It’s no surprise to me that polls are showing lower approval rates for Obama.

With all this attention on our tax-dollars and the recent Gallup poll that shows only 35 percent of America supporting the reversal of the Mexico City Policy, which banned money the U.S. gives in medical aid from going to promoting or performing abortion, the question needs to once again be asked. If, abortion is a private matter than why should the public have to pay for it?

I lost my mother-in-law at Walmart today.
The people in Walmart paged her twice.
Then they allowed me to speak into the phone and page her in Chinese!
In case if you were at Walmart Chino at 12:30pm and heard some Chinese announcement over the intercom, that was me :)
